How Sleep Tracking Works

CardioMood uses PPG sensors to detect: - Heart rate changes during sleep - HRV patterns that indicate sleep stages - Movement and restlessness

Sleep Stages

**Light Sleep** - Transition between wake and deeper sleep - Body begins to relax - Easy to wake from this stage

**Deep Sleep** - Physical restoration occurs - Immune system strengthening - Most difficult to wake from

**REM Sleep** - Brain is highly active - Dreams occur - Memory consolidation

Sleep Metrics

  • **Total Sleep Time**: Hours actually asleep
  • **Sleep Efficiency**: Time asleep / time in bed
  • **Sleep Stages**: Breakdown by stage
  • **Overnight HRV**: Recovery indicator
  • **Sleep Score**: Overall quality (0-100)
